The Mozambican Community Association in the USA (MCA USA) undertook a significant initiative in 2016, whereby school supplies were collected to assist children in Mozambique. Makhalawane-Chibuto Primary School, located in Chibuto, Gaza Province, was the recipient of this project.

In that year, MCA USA organized a campaign to gather school supplies with the aim of supporting students at Makhalawane-Chibuto Primary School. This school plays a crucial role in the local community, providing fundamental education for children in the region.

Recognizing the challenges faced by Mozambican schools in terms of adequate resources and educational materials, MCA USA mobilized efforts to collect various essential learning materials. This included items such as pencils, pens, notebooks, backpacks, erasers, rulers, and other indispensable school supplies.

Through this initiative, MCA USA sought to provide educational support and encourage the academic development of children in Mozambique. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances.

Makhalawane-Chibuto Primary School was identified as the direct beneficiary of this campaign, allowing the collected school supplies to be specifically directed to the children in that school.

MCA USA extends deep gratitude to all individuals and partners who generously contributed to this initiative in 2016. It was through the collaborative efforts of everyone involved that a significant difference was made in the lives of the children at Makhalawane-Chibuto Primary School.

This 2016 action demonstrates MCA USA’s ongoing commitment to promote projects and actions that benefit the education and well-being of children in Mozambique. Investing in the future of these children is crucial for the overall growth and development of the country.
